JR Motorsports announced today its festivities surrounding the 2012 Charlotte race week.  Beginning on Thursday, May 24, and continuing through Monday, May 28, the JRM facility in Mooresville, N.C. will host a number of activities for fans making the trek to NASCAR country.

For the second consecutive year, the driver autograph session will headline the festivities.  Scheduled for Friday, May 25, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. EST the session features:

· Dale Earnhardt Jr., JRM co-owner and driver.

· Danica Patrick, driver of the No. 7 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet.

· Cole Whitt, driver of the No. 88 TaxSlayer.com Chevrolet.

· Kelley Earnhardt Miller, JRM co-owner and general manager.

· Karsyn Elledge, driver of the No. 3 Air Hogs go-cart.

· Josh Berry, driver of the No. 88 Speedco Chevrolet late model.

· L.W. Miller, driver of the No. 88 TaxSlayer.com / Speedco modified.

· Kerry Earnhardt, former NASCAR driver.

250 wristbands will be distributed for the autograph session at the JR Motorsports headquarters.   A limited number of wristbands will be available each day beginning at 9 a.m. EST on Monday, May 21, and continuing daily through Friday at 9 a.m. EST until all wristbands are disbursed.  Fans wishing to receive a wristband are asked to bring a pet item or nonperishable food items to be donated to The Dale Jr. Foundation.

Earnhardt Jr. and Patrick are slated to participate in Nationwide Insurance’s live web chat on Friday from 4:15 p.m. to 5 p.m. EST.  Fans in attendance can watch the chat, and are invited to be part of the action by submitting their own questions for the pair.

The newest addition for 2012 race week is shop tours.  Fans will be treated to an all-access tour of JRM’s 66,000-square-foot facility.  The behind-the-scenes tour will showcase car fabrication, setup plates, and the painting and decaling areas.  The free tour lasts approximately 30 minutes and is only available on Thursday, May 24, and Friday, May 25, from 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. EST.  Tours are scheduled at the following times:  9:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.  Space is limited for each tour, to reserve your spot please email shoptours@jrmracing.com.

Additionally, fans will see firsthand authentic race cars, along with various cars from Earnhardt Jr.’s personal collection.  Nationwide Insurance will be on site with a racing simulator, while other JRM partners will feature games, prizes and more.   Stay tuned to JRMracing.com for a complete list of events and times.
