Hi JR Nation.

This is my first blog since coming on board with JR Motorsports.  I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to drive the 88 Chevrolet for Dale Jr. in the Nationwide Series this year.  And I’m hoping we give all of you something to cheer for on Saturday afternoons.

To say it’s been a busy couple weeks for me, would be an understatement.  Since joining JRM, it’s been a bit of a whirlwind.  Sponsor meetings, media obligations and testing, just to name a few. But I’m enjoying every minute of it. I’ve been spending a lot of time with Pops and all the guys on my team.  You know, just getting to know them and joking around with them.  These are the guys I’m going to spending the entire season with, so it’s important that we work well together.  They’re a great bunch.

Our team made the trip to Walt Disney World Speedway two weeks ago for our first test session.  It felt great to climb behind the wheel again.  I met my new teammate Danica Patrick for the first time, too.  Danica is a really cool person.  One thing people probably wouldn’t know about her is how funny she is.  She can crack a joke with the best of them and she quotes funny movies a lot.  I’m looking forward to working with her this season.

I can’t wait to meet all of you, too!  JR Nation has really made me feel welcome in the short time I’ve been here.  I’ve got to say, your support means a lot.

Don’t forget, I’ll be signing autographs every race weekend at the JR Nation merchandise hauler at track, so come on out and visit.
